What does it mean on the screen at home "Is Gamespy shutting down?" today I can play and I have not downloaded the patch yet I was planning on downloading it today but I can still play, so WTF is going on here

its better not of coz ...but everyone is waiting ... ...is it ? ..or not ?

It could be only 2 ways ...
1 - Its Down ...
2 - It is Not


Being not down - after 2 months of official announcement ...and after 1 year of complete shutdown of gamespy site ...
loocks like a game play...or a test run to check what will we do ...

if Game spy is not going down today we have 3 chooices still :

1 - There is some dude like Bruce Wain ..who bought it ...and hopefully will subsidies since...
2 - They fired those who knew how to shut the servers down
3 - They just running it as ..server 1 down ... server 2 down ...
and it will take a day to kill tem all

My guess is that they forgot that May 31st was on a saturday, so they had no time shutting them down, or something.

Someone said it on a Gamespy-topic @ Oldunreal Forums. I dont know the person himself + he was the only one i heard saying it. Thing is, normally
i wouldn't believe it, but it makes sense, postpone it for another month. But something tells me they will not shut down for a long time to come, but then again, i do not know for sure. But for now, lets just be thankful we can still play, because someday it WILL BE taken down.

"Battlefield 1942" works on the same Protocol as "Sam Classic" and works on the same ports.(master server)
Perhaps because of this, "Sam Classic" still works.

Most likely - the Doomsday is postponed, thanks to "EA"
