    RIP my friend

Yesterday at 7 years old age, died my hard drive
    Hitachi GST Ultrastar A7K1000 (1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA2)

For 7 years he served me well.
In a summer heat running at 65C without a single bad sector

It was one of the best disks i ever had.

RIP my friend. You'll be replaced.

As our best friend Robin Williams used to say - problem is only problem when you have to pay for it
i'm not as funny as he was ..

not in a century i would even consider to be as he was ...
we do not care that he killed him self

    I doubt you can
It is no longer recognized as a drive in 3 different SATA controllers
even after changing controller circuit on drive from 2 other similar disks - still not recognized ...

My own diagnose is - physical damage to the plates or heads.
