How to make HD video from the demo.

If you have a widescreen monitor and have the opportunity to put a resolution of 1920 by 1080, then do this:


1). Open Scripts/PersistentSymbols.ini

Edit and Save:


For 1080p HD


For 720p HD

2). Run fraps

3). Start game - and capture demo.

Result:

Can u suggest some good video converter? I wanna compress recorded videos without loosing quality because uncompressed videos requires a lot of free HDD space. I've tried HD video converter factory, but for good quality videos with short length i still need 1-2GB ...is there any better option for uploading? I don't wanna spend 2 days for uploading videos, thx

I use the program's - VirtualDub, VirtualDubMod, WinFF (GUI for ffmeg)

VirtualDub - for video cutting into fragments and the compound video clips into one file. ( Direct Steam Copy - mode)
Processing 20-30 gigabyte video out for 2-3 minutes ( Direct Steam Copy - mode)

VirtualDubMod - to extract (substitutions, additions) audio track. ( Direct Steam Copy - mode)

WinFF - for video encoding (quickly and with high quality).

Recording demo is always a trade between something ...if you have so-so PC ...
Its either size of the video - or the quality ...

If your CPU can not compress run-time...then...
Fraps - allows you to grab video without compression...High resolution .... - here comes the "Size" ... you will need fast mobo ..and lots of space to store this raw data (why fast mobo ? ...well ... cheap one will drop speed when you move your window across the screen - and good one - has dedicated chips for all that shit...)

You can compress that video later making way smaller ...while keeping the resoltuion ...
but major draw back - is raw data ... there is alot of it ...some cheap mobos - wont handle it ...you need good motherboard ..large harddisk to do so ...

Да не,... за нормальный комп это отдельный разговор...

А вот то что у фрапса нет настроек, это бесит реально.
Вот какого чёрта спрашивается, он пишет звук в формате 1.5мегабита/сек.... ??? ..... нахрена ???!!!

1024Х768.... ~2Gb ...for 3 minutes .....


Видео отстаёт от звука, причём идёт в "сломо-режиме" (это уже при просмотре конечного файла)
Хотя тут может зависеть от кодека и рендера (они оба фрапсовские)

P.S. В общем как завещано => "Учиться, учится, и ещё раз....." (да времени нету)

The easiest way is to get AppGeeker converter http://www.appgeeker.com, with the least quality loss.

I have ever used it to compress some of my fraps videos, happy with the results.
