However, it only works in coop/single player mode because Croteam decided to be gay.

Or you can be more gay and use Cheat Engine to edit game values j/k

Hmmm in one hand about settings u are right, but what about those who are not allowed by the game in multyplayer? I think you know for example you can turn off textures with simple code /gfx_brendertextures=0 on own server in single player mode, but using external help -)Campers(- external texture replacment is cheat yeah?! Also what about shadows, you can turn them with code /wld_brendershadowmaps=0 in single player, and also with cheat engine in multyplayer. If you learn how to edit game .dll SDK with Visual, you can became very bad (no red screen, no snipermask... etc) or very good (rf mode, auto screenshoter...etc) cheater.
