Hello everyone,I'm Serious Sam <CHN> <<X>> a women player from China.Here is a MOD which was created by UED who is from China.This MOD conform SFE with SSE like the revolution but depend on my game experience ,I think the optimization of the MOD is better than the latter.Whether graphics, weapons, maps, or the playability has greatly improved,so if anyone is interested in this MOD please download it to experience.
Finally,I hope 42A'dam could creat a server for this MOD if possible ,thank you. XD;)

So the player who downloaded the former one should be redownload this one followed.

Instruction of this version:

-Deleated 3 maps of SE and there're only 7.5 maps left in SE.
-Intend to decrease the game time and cancel the depressed Europen maps.
-There's no music in FE in order to have player experience the atmosphere of MOD calm.
-The death in this version cannot be avoided so you need to control the time you died.

You will be redirected to "older version" of 42Amsterdam that contains bit more extended statistics than the forum
at the bottom - you will see the exchange folder ...

I find the Server in the list but the creator said that can any ways to run the MOD in one Server rather than two server? Just Use SE server to Run FE Server like that.One Server to run all maps If possible

No need to separate the FE and SE~

If impossible ,put the FE maps into the LEVELSMP Folder and try it！！

Alex,I have a very very serious problem that in China if Someone create a server and it couldn't be seen on the server list.But in China there are many many players wanna try the MOD ,just no server provided :(

So the MOD creator and I made a request that can U set up some servers for the MOD just like the |SS| Servers or 42A'dam servers so that other players could join to have fun... Thx :confused:

PS:There will be some updates in every one month or fornight maybe. But as soon as it publish, I will upload it and put the link to another thread.

Boy oh boy, before i'd downloaded this I thought this was going to be just another graphic-update mod (not that there is something wrong with that) but i was deadwrong!

I highly recommend this mod for its quality and effort put into this :tup::tup:
and I especially enjoyed the beginning of suburbs where you have to rocket jump your way up
(wish there were more of those parkour-rocketjumping maps).

With the ammo removed the MOD creator think that it will be more challenges and playable. And if someone wants the unlimited ammo and FF on we can set up more servers :)

Alex,Thx for ur great work first,but there are some trouble still:

1.It couldn't save a game in own server.To solve it just set up an empty folder named Network in the Save folder of the root then it work.

2.The icon of the MOD u can use this one:

I strongly recommend to use the mod as mod, and not to use the mod as a separate game.
And install mod to an existing game folder.
It is necessary for the correct connection to the server with the mod.

btw, And fix second error in the ini files:

Game_startup.ini -> sam_strGameName = "serioussamse";

Alex;17366']I strongly recommend to use the mod as mod, and not to use the mod as a separate game.
And install mod to an existing game folder.
It is necessary for the correct connection to the server with the mod.

btw, And fix second error in the ini files:

Server now running 2 games with 9.5 version. (both 1.05 & 1.07 for now)

But as you've noticed - it is no longer a stand-alone version.
Thanx to Alex - it is a completely separate package that could be used on SE (1.05,1.07, Revolution (most likely ....after you pay some fee to the steam....kidding))..anyway

Personal note - this is one great mod dude !!!

How to make a mod of ready content...

Inside the folder Mods need to create a folder for the mod (ST8VI):

Add to folder Mods 2 files:
The first file - the picture for mod. (ST8VITbn.tex)
The second file - contains the string name mod. (ST8VI.des)

Put all your content in mod folder.

Create in mod folder these files, they define what is taken from the game - and that comes from mod:

We downloaded the Final version, but UED highly recommended that it's more better to use the stand-alone version.

Following these reasons:

1.For the separate package ,we need to download the SSE & The MOD and it will be wasted too much time to download.

2.It will be a huge size to install the MOD to SSE.(Nearly 2G)

If u insist on using the separate package,then it must be a smaller size and easy to play so that it could be a Convenient downloading and let the player enjoy the atmosphere of the MOD.

And I hope that U can respect the ideas of the MOD creator.

a few thoughts on new update

1 - Cool that there are now bit more weapons to pick up ....(not only revolver till the very last map.....i know it supposed to be challenging ...but having good weapons also fun)
2 - What happen to the sounds ? ... weapons sounds now like being fired in small toilette ....

I can't start single-player because the game crashes upon loading Sierra de Chiapas. I've been looking for a way to gain access to every level so that I could load Valley of the Jaguar and beyond, but there appears to be no command to do that other than changing the first level of the game by sam_strFirstLevel. I expected there would be some unlock cheat.

In multiplayer every level is available and I noticed Egypt levels from the first encounter. Most of the levels are listed 2 or 3 times. (Why?) I still can't load many of the levels. I haven't tried every one of them, however, I found that Hatshepsut, Valley of the Jaguar, Serpent Yards and the Grand Cathedral work. Sierra de Chiapas, the City of the Gods and Ziggurat don't work.

That leads me to the question: What is the purpose of this mod and in what order is this game supposed to be played? Should I just start with Hatshepsut and will it work from there on? I don't understand how it works.

Error messages in the console indicated missing files, so I downloaded the larger version (700 MB) and installed it as a mod. That works. I can now play Sierra de Chiapas and likely every other level (none failed to load so far), although the intro movie stopped working, but that's no problem. I'm impressed by what I've seen so far. This mod gives a whole new experience of the game.

I still wonder which level I'm supposed to start playing in and why there are duplicates. The versions of Hatshepsut for example seem to be different.

I think it is only multiplayer mod. No Singleplayer. Levels has many textures and objects. That can case levels to not work,also you must have better pc and graphic card to play.

Yep ... it seems that all those updates do miss some parts ...
Only by installing complete package ...and then applying recent updates to it - would fix the missing parts errors.

There are some tecnological problems about ST8 MOD need solving as soon as possible!

1.How to shut down or adjust the self damage (1-50)from Rocket Launcher.(or shut down all self damage)

PS: I know that it's exist in PEFE MOD,but I don't know how to transplante it to ST8 MOD.

/gam_bdamageself=0 this command I tried but failed.

2.How to achieve this effect "no delay intermittent" arised from Revolution of laser gun?

Now the game model is Rocket hitting and the rocket launcher is the most major weapons.

What's more this model is more harder and need more skills than before.

So the MOD creator UED want to solve these problems about rocket launcher.

I hope somebody can help us to solve these two problems.Because it can affect the game-experience.

5. The damage of Grenade: minus 25 (-25)

All of the requests should be in default setting so that there's no need to press the code to change the game mode.

But the codes could be left in case someone want to change or you can put all the changes of setting to the game option.
